“Open and affirming” is an expression used by Christian churches and organizations that openly welcome gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered (GLBT) people into fellowship with them. affirming Open Door is a Christ-centered, open and affirming church, welcoming all people regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or political affiliation, encouraging each one to grow in their relationship with God.
Open Door is an independent, non-denominational church. As part of the body of believers we seek to fellowship in harmony with all believers who are the Church. We are not directly affiliated with any other church or organization, however we occasionally participate with other open and affirming churches in the area for community events.
Sunday morning worship services are usually about 90 minutes long, beginning at 10:00 AM, and ending at about 11:30 AM.
Open Door practices water baptism by immersion for those who wish to make a public profession of their faith. We also serve communion monthly. All Christian believers are welcome to participate in communion. You do not have to be a member of Open Door to participate in communion.
The Sunday morning worship service is an exciting, casual, and joyful celebration with prayer offered for needs in every service.
